BAILEY

This is Bailey, our German Shepherd. She takes care of the outside of the goat pen. She is a rescue we took in, in 2004. She has become part of our family now. She is registered also. Her father was all black and her mother is standard black and tan.

TULLA

Tulla is a Rat Terrier. She is our "Farm Dog Wanna Be". Actually she does chase and catch mice and once in a while she gets a rat from the neighbors pasture, and she does try and herd the chickens around if they get loose.  But mostly she is our "Lap Dog". But don't tell her, she is a dog. She would get highly upset. The goats basically ignore her. She gets excited when babies arrive, because they are just her size-at least for a while.

BARN CATS

This is Susie, our Barn cat. She is very friendly and loves to be petted. NEVER let her food pail get empty ! She will let you know immediately. She likes to sleep in the hay, and play with Tulla and Jenny. Sugar likes to mother her.

HOUSE CATS

These two cats are Peaches (Orange and White) and Franny. These two are our house cats, but love to be outdoors when ever they're allowed. Peaches follows us out to the barn to see why we're out there all the time. I don't think she is impressed yet. Franny just wants to lie in the sun and sleep. All of our cats are extremely loving. People are amazed how affectionate they are toward us. We love them back just as much.

CHICKENS

These are a sample of our chickens. W presently have about 30 chickens now at this time. I find it amazing how you can plan for about 12 and end up with 30! We have Buff Orpingtons, Rhode Island Reds, Black Austrolops, Americanas, and some Bantums-misc, with some crosses that I am not sure of. As of this date ( October 18, 2005 ) we are receiving about 12 eggs per day.We do enjoy our chickens, watching them and yes, I talk to them also :)
